All the more reason we have to address how we socialize boys and girls. Girls are expected to be more mature and more responsible than boys; they are not necessarily more emotionally mature. Boys need their fathers to model the expression of a range of emotions and to learn how to express themselves within peer groups. It is not okay to expect girls and women to carry that responsibility. Ideally we all support one another mutually.
