Conservatives social norms do not protect women; they subjugate them to a ‘lesser than’ status. Women also have the language to articulate what they feel when violated but they often go unheard or are dismissed. Chivalry was never about protecting women but about knights’ egos. And why are we not holding doors open for each other? Women are not a monolith; their sexuality is as diverse as they are unique. So let’s operate within a framework that allows people, both men and women, to be who they are without the imposition of judgment from others
