I have helped to build homes and schools in Ghana and Nicaragua mixing cement and carrying bricks while stepping over scorpions and having only a bucket of water each day to bathe. Men and women both do hard dirty labor throughout the world. Feminism is about gender parity not attacking men but the systems that lead to inequality such as women’s minimal participation at the top levels and having to fight to get their own credit. A good book to read is Food in History detailing womens hard labor establishing agriculture and even beer. Maybe those guys building the pyramids should have stopped and asked themselves why they were suffering for one man’s ego. Feminists want to deconstruct structural injustice and I would imagine most men would also. It benefits us all to work collaboratively without adversarial posturing.
