I’ll be running my 26th marathon next month with my daughter for her first. She’s run 4 half marathons with me and I am ashamed to admit I abandoned her on each of those courses. (She was absolutely fine). I have reassured her I will not leave her at any step of the way for the Berlin marathon and yet, shocker, she does not believe me. I suppose I am the mom who cried wolf but nothing will tear me from her side at that distance!
