It’s so tragic what foster kids endure! And you are right. We do intense screening of anyone hoping to adopt from foster care. We give the toughest examples right away and half the room clears out. Of the other half that remains at least half of them dismiss what we say and believe they are so wonderful any kid would just love them as parents. Now that poverty will be increasing dramatically with women either out of the job market or under employed, very few people will be willing or able to adopt babies, much less older kids.
